Must Have Kitchen Tools

 You can purchase inexpensive, high quality kitchen sets and tools from most grocery and department stores. Price is not always a good way of judging quality. Your tools should be comfortable for you to use and should feel sturdy and strong. Awkward styling, loose construction, and flimsy light material are signs of bad kitchenware, and should not be purchased.

You don’t need a lot to be a great cook, but you will need…

• Medium saucepan
• Medium pot with lid
• Colander/strainer
• Measuring cups - dry and wet, and measuring spoons.
• A sharp chef’s knife or a plastic lettuce knife - for kids in the kitchen!
• Plastic or wooden cutting board
• Ladle, tongs, wooden spoon, rubber scraper, spatula
• Medium and small mixing bowls.
